The 39-day break will have freshened her up and she’ll relish the very testing conditions on her return to fences. The yard does well with handicap chase debutants who ran over hurdles last time, scoring with ten of the 42 qualifiers (23.8% strike-rate) for a profit of £39.75 to a £1 level stake at SP.

DIDDLY DO was a big eyecatcher when making her debut over course and distance on Boxing Day, doing well to finish fourth after racing in the ‘swamp’ on the inside rail under Page Fuller. She finished just under seven lengths behind the winner and Gavin Sheehan, usually adept at figuring out which part of the track is quickest, takes over in the saddle today.

This race looks very playable as Dawn View, 4-1 second favourite at the time of writing, is a quirky 11-race maiden who finds very little at the business end after travelling well. PRINCESS SIYOUNI was beaten by 30 lengths at Southwell last time but clearly hated the Fibresand and is bred to appreciate today’s surface. Progeny of Siyouni, aged four or older, have won 17 of their 79 starts on Polytrack (21.5% strike-rate) for a profit of £55.88 to a £1 level stake at SP. She’s been off the track for three months but showed form after a break on her reappearance last year, finishing a 20-1 fourth at Yarmouth, and it’s possible that she could be in receipt of an easy lead from her favourable low draw. Raceform has her as the joint-fastest horse in the line-up based on her close-up third on good to soft ground at Lingfield in Augusta and she’s worth chancing at a huge price.
