Jonjo O’Neill has a fine recent record in handicap hurdles at Huntingdon, scoring with 13 of the 55 qualifiers since the beginning of 2016 (23.6% strike-rate) for a profit of £29.83 to a £1 level stake at SP. Three of those were unplaced over Southwell’s fixed-brush style hurdles on their latest start and they all won (16-1, 2-1 and 15-8). MOSCOW SPY was only sixth of 14 at Southwell in April when last seen, though did third best of those to race up with the strong pace and the two prominent racers who finished in front of him – third-placed Ange Endormi and fourth hone Matchmaking – have both won since. Three other prominent racers finished well beaten, one in tenth and the other two pulling up, and all three have won since. Moscow Spy has been dropped 3lb for that run and, given his yard’s fine record here, could out-run odds of around 16-1.
