IRISH EILEEN was a big eyecatcher over 7f at Musselburgh on her latest outing, doing second-best of the closers when a 16/1 fourth of 11.
Oriental Lily, best of the hold-up horses in third, won next time and the patiently-ridden tenth, Clotherholme, was placed at 12/1 on his next start. She’s now 0-11 but is worth a small bet to get off the mark in a race that could be run to suit.

LATIN FIVE – (5.45 Nottingham, 2pt win, 3/1)
LATIN FIVE is hardly prolific – just one win from 21 starts – but he hasn’t had many opportunities for in-form Paul Midgley, especially not on fast turf, the surface on which he seemed best in Ireland. He took a step forward in first-time cheekpieces when a close third at Beverley last time, racing on the slowest part of the track (the inside) for much of the race before hanging left towards the stands’ side late on.
That form was boosted by the badly-drawn fourth – 5/2 favourite East Street Revue – who was a 25/1 winner at Haydock next time and Kevin Stott is a good booking. She’s well clear on last-time out speed according to Raceform and could prove hard to catch.
