Richard Hannon’s 8-1 hot had a terrible draw and lost ground by moving across to get cover in the early stages.
She was switched back to the centre of the track for a clear run and flew at the finish to grab third place, finishing just two lengths behind the winner. Her sole success came on firm ground at Bath but her sire, Fast Company, gets plenty of winners in the mud and she’ll appreciate running against her own sex after being beaten by two colts at Redcar.

BEAUZON – 7.00 Newcastle
Stalls 1 and 2 have a combined record of just two wins from 60 starts in straight-course handicaps of eight or more runners on standard going at Newcastle this year and it should pay to side with those drawn middle-to-high.
BEAUZON (stall 6 of 11), whose patient running style has made life difficult at Wolverhampton on his last three outings, looks the bet. Since gelded, he’s had three runs on Tapeta – all at Wolverhampton – and he’s caught the eye from off the pace every time.
Twice in August he fared best of those to come from off the pace in races where it paid to be on the front end and it was a similar story last month when second best of the closers. Newcastle is usually far kinder to his patient running style and he could take the beating tonight.
