Those who finished in the top four on their debuts were 11 from 33 (+£9.18) and ROYAL DEESIDE, in need of the experience when a 12-1 fourth of five at Ffos Las last month, looks worth an each-way interest in a race lacking strength in depth. Backing Alan King’s second-time out two-year-olds has not been as profitable in recent seasons but they’re still 13 from 110 on turf this century for a profit of £47.15.
BOLLIN MARGARET – Redcar 4.03 (1pt win – 11/1 Generally)
BOLLIN MARGARET won in the corresponding week in 2020 and again last year. She finished a respectable 25-1 sixth of 11 at Ayr just six days ago and progeny of her sire Fountain Of Youth have a great record on turf when returned to the track quickly (one to 15 days ago), landing 28 of their 167 starts for a huge profit of £313.25 to a £1 level stake at SP. She’s five from 15 on this angle (+£29.00) and her sole previous visit to this track saw her score by just over three lengths. The drying ground is in her favour, and she should encounter a decent gallop thanks to the presence of American Flag and Knightswood, the one I’ve saved on.
