3.00 Newmarket – NOBLE DYNASTY (1pt win – 7/2 BetVictor, Coral)
NOBLE DYNASTY (stall 13 of 13) looks the pace angle down the nearside in this 7f handicap and can make it four wins from five starts in Britain since being gelded. I’ll save on THUNDER BALL, who could benefit from the cut back to 7f after a slightly disappointing finishing effort when I tipped him in the Spring Cup at Newbury last time, though I’m slightly worried by his middle draw (stall 6).
3.15 Goodwood – SPANISH STAR (2pt win – 4/1 Coral, BetVictor)
Veteran SPANISH STAR won this race 12 months ago on his second start of the season, having run well from off the pace (66-1 sixth of 15) in the 6f Dubai Duty Free Handicap at Newbury on his return to action. He ran a blinder in that same Newbury contest on last month’s comeback, doing best of those to race down the centre in a one-length 40-1 fourth of 16 when all the action was stands’ side. The soft ground is very much in his favour and there are plenty of pace angles to tow him into this from what looks a favourable draw in stall 7 of 9. INDIAN CREAK has a good record in single-figure line-ups when the mud is flying, and I’ve had a saver on Jack Channon’s seven-year-old.
