There’s very little I like on Bank Holiday Monday but I’m going to have a small interest on ROCK ETOILE in this 7f apprentice handicap. Andrew Slattery’s six-year-old shaped as though the run were needed over 1m at Leopardstown on last month’s reappearance, fading into a 14-1 11th of 20 after drifting from 15-2 to 14-1, and he scored on is second turf start last term after a run at Leopardstown. He tends to peak in the soring – his three wins coming from March to May – and his high could be an advantage based on recent evidence.
