Three of those winners were making their stable debut and the in-form handler can get a tune out of ARTHALOT, who has changed yards after the retirement of Victor Dartnall. The seven-year-old has scored just once from 27 goes but had a wind operation prior to his comprehensive defeat on heavy ground in a 1m6f handicap at Salisbury last time and today’s better going, return to hurdles, removal of blinkers in favour of just the tongue-tie and the change of scenery can all contribute to a much-improved effort.
