5.15 Yarmouth – DASHING DONKEY (1pt win 100/30 bet365 + 0.5pt reversed forecast with KODEBREAKER)
The wind could be half into their faces at Yarmouth today but it’s unlikely to be strong enough to scupper the chances of likely front-runner DASHING DONKEY, whose record here reads 2117 (2-4), with the runner-up effort by a short head. He bombed out when 7-4 favourite on his latest course visit but hated the good to firm going and will relish today’s soft conditions. Bill Stone’s three-year-old finished a creditable third from stall 9 of 9 at Chelmsford on his latest start (non-runner adjusted) when the winner/runner-up were drawn 1 and 6 and he could prove hard to pass.
KODEBREAKER won by seven lengths over course and distance on soft ground when Richard Kingscote was last on board and Michael Herrington’s five-year-old is worth perming with the selection in reversed forecast. He seems best when drawn near a rail and has for figures of 311120732 (3-9) when drawn in stall 1, as he is today (his other wins came form stalls 3 and 5).

5.35 Leicester – DIFFIDENT SPIRIT (2pt win – 14/1 bet365)
DIFFIDENT SPIRIT has a 0-10 record on the all-weather but has form figures on turf of 16178412025 (3-11), with one of the wins over course and distance on heavy going. Terry Kent’s six-year-old ran well at Ascot earlier this month on his return from a 96-day break, finishing a 33-1 fifth of 13 in a 7f Class4 amateur riders’ handicap and will appreciate the extra furlong and drop down to Class 5 level. He’s had just the four runs at this level on grass, recording form figures of 1112 (3-4), with the defeat excusable as he was left with too much to do at Nottingham.
