Three-year-olds have won three of the four runners of the 1m Almada Handicap when they’ve been represented and BUBBLES WONKY could be the one to take advantage of the weight-for-age allowance in this year’s renewal. Three-year-olds colts have form figures of 2116 1 (3-5) and Tim Easterby’s charge will appreciate the cut back in trip after beating only a couple home in a hot 1m2f handicap at Epsom last time. His sole success came on heavy ground but the son of Lope De Vega has form on good going and it’s worth remembering that he was only half a length behind Mickley when the pair ran third/fourth from poor draws in a 7f novice stakes at Redcar last October.
4.52 Hamilton – HARD SOLUTION (0.5pt ew – 16/1 bet365, three places)
Tuesday’s racing looks incredibly tricky, but I can’t resist a small interest on veteran HARD SOLUTION, who tends to run best at this time of year, provided he’s had a recent outing. His handicap record from June to September when returned to the track within ten days of his previous outing stands at 1371514611142323013 (7-19) for a profit of £52.00 to a £1 level stake at SP. At Hamilton only the score is 17611213 (4-8) and he’s a big price having run poorly here just five days ago.
