4.03 Leicester – USER AMISTOSO (1pt win – 13/2 bet365, 6/1 William Hill)
The form of USER AMISTOSO’s one-length third to Fouroneohfever at Chester is working out exceptionally well. The winner followed up when returned to Chester, runner-up Contacto went one better at Hamilton on his next outing, the sixth and fourth – Filibustering and Mach Ten – ran one-two at Redcar subsequently, while seventh-placed Glistening Nights was a winner at Wetherby last night. User Amistoso had run better than his finishing position suggested when sixth at Newmarket on April’s reappearance where he was up against a strong pace bias and while today’s small field is a slight worry for one who tends to come from the rear, he looks worth an interest. I’ve saved on Sea The Thunder.
6.15 Lingfield – AIMING HIGH (1pt win – 6/1 bet365, 888Sport)
AIMING HIGH was too fresh and keen when trailing home last of seven in a Class 3 fillies’ handicap at Brighton her return to action but the drop in grade and return to Lingfield can spark a revival. David Simcock’s five-year-old was only beaten by one length into a 22-1 fourth in a 1m2f Class 2handicap in January 2023 on her first go here before placing third in a Class 2 course and distance contest the following month. Her only subsequent course outing saw her finish an out-classed but not disgraced 100-1 ninth of 14 at Listed level and she’s down to Class 5 company today for the first time since her Southwell win last January.
