2.55 Brighton – LITTLE WHITE DOVE (1pt win – 8/1 bet365)
Batal Dandy, ex-Richard Fahey, is forecast to start as 15-8 favourite on his debut for Stuart Williams but his new handler doesn’t have the greatest record at the first time of asking with new acquisitions, especially for this owner. Of greater interest is LITTLE WHITE DOVE, who looked in need of the return to this 6f trip when keeping on into fourth place at Lingfield last time. Progeny of Sioux Nation have a fine record in small fields (ten or fewer runners), with those who finished second, third or fourth last time out landing 55 of their 182 starts (30.2%) for a profit of £96.52. The first-time cheekpieces go on – a profitable angle for the sire’s turf runners – and though a nine-race maiden whose attitude has been questioned in the past, she’s worth chancing to small stakes.
