Doncaster Racing Tips (Sunday 29 March 2026)
It’s the final day of Doncaster’s Lincoln meeting on Sunday and Andrew Mount has a brace of fixtures for the action on Town Moor.
1.47 Doncaster – Rising Force (0.5pt e/w – 9/1 Coral, Ladbrokes, five places)
Rising Force needs a strong pace to chase, and he tends to perform best in big fields. John Butler’s five-year-old kept on well to finish fifth of 12 when going down by a little over two lengths on his recent stable debut at Southwell and was a 25-1 third of 21 in this race last year, doing best of those drawn in single figures. Top amateur Henry Callan takes the ride again and backing his mounts blind would have found ten winners from 33 bets for a profit of £15.79 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 4.96, A/E = 2.02).
5.15 Doncaster – Dark Thirty (0.5pt e/w – 9/1 generally with the firms paying five places)
Dark Thirty has a fine record on his seasonal debuts, recording form figures of 1711 (3-4), with the three wins over 6f on turf and the sole defeat when failing to handle Tapeta in a 7f Listed race in 2023. The six-year-old won this race last year for Richard Hannon, despite racing prominently into the headwind, and he looks worth a small bet to stage a repeat on his debut for John and Sean Quinn.
Ascot Racing Tips (Sunday 29 March 2026)
A decent National Hunt card takes place at Ascot on Sunday, with Andrew opting for the 3.05pm contest for his best bet on the card.
3.05 Ascot – Munsif (1pt win – 2/1 generally)
The Charles Byrnes-trained Munsif ran in the Naas Rated Hurdle that has produced so many Fred Winter winners, catching the eye just as much as runner-up Saratoga, who went one better in the Fred Winter next time, when keeping on into a tenderly-handled third. However, the joke was on his connections as they were first reserve at Cheltenham and never got a run. His subsequent maiden hurdle third will have kept him ticking over ahead of his handicap debut and he looks set to run a big race under Sean Bowen.
