Ascot & Uttoxeter Racing Tips - Andrew Mount's Best Bets for Friday 19 December

Ascot & Uttoxeter Racing Tips - Andrew Mount's Best Bets for Friday 19 December

Andrew Mount looks to end the working week on a high, with three best bets throughout the afternoon coming from Ascot & Uttoxeter.

His three selections on Friday are all available to back at double-figure prices, so could be very profitable ahead of another high quality weekend of racing.

Ascot Racing Tips (Friday 19 December 2025)

It is the first of two days’ racing at Ascot during their Long Walk Hurdle meeting and Andrew Mount has picked out two best bets on the card.

1.15 Ascot – West Hill Verde (0.5pt e/w – 18/1 bet365)

This 2m5.5f maiden hurdle has a history of shocks including two winners at 33-1 and another at 22-1 in the past ten renewals. One of those ‘double carpet’ shots was trained by Seamus Mullins who has a live chance with West Hill Verde, third to the exciting Age Of Innocence at Newbury last time. Sent off at 28-1, the five-year-old shaped as though the step up from 2m would suit and this race has been dominated by those going up in distance. Harry Cobden takes over from conditional rider Callum Pritchard.

3.35 Ascot – Indulto Rouge (0.5pt e/w – 25/1 bet365)

David Pipe has a fantastic record in Ascot bumper, scoring with eight of his 14 runners for a profit of £33.17 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 2.98). Six of those runners came in this Listed contest, producing five wins and a second. Point winner Indulto Rouge failed to live up to market expectations at Hereford last time, finishing third as the 13-8 favourite, but today’s stiffer test could suit and he’s worth a punt at a big price.

Uttoxeter Racing Tips (Friday 19 December 2025)

Uttoxeter hosts a seven-race card on Friday, with Andrew’s selection coming in a novices’ handicap chase in the middle of the card.

1.28 Uttoxeter – Mythe Bridge (0.5pt e/w – 11/1 bet365)

Mythe Bridge is a big old unit who caught the eye when runner-up at Market Rasen in February, doing well to finish just over four lengths behind the winner after jumping out to his left on the sharp right-handed track. Henry Daly’s seven-year-will improve for last month’s Exeter comeback third and should be suited by this track. This season, his trainer’s runners are five from 23 on their second start back after a break of 150 days or longer for a profit of £5.88 to a £1 level stake at SP. The handicap chasers were four from 13 (+£7.38).
