Threeunderthrufive meets favourable conditions and should improve for wind surgery in easier company than he has faced the last twice. However, with some negative signs from Paul Nicholls’ stable form of late, it may be worth chancing that Scarface improves for this further step up in trip, for which there is hope in his pedigree. He was progressing at the end of last season and could be a threat over 3m this season. Soul Icon, the other horse stepping up in distance, may also benefit from it, and is preferred for the frame to Art Of Diplomacy, who may find this hotter than the races he has been winning over the summer.
