GG tipster Joe Napier has selections at both Beverley and Lingfield to make up our Tuesday lucky 15 tips.
Beverley Racing Tips (Tuesday 12 May)
Six races take place at Beverley on Tuesday. We have two selections, both of whom are course and distance winners.
3.30 Beverley – Saucy Jane (1pt win – 3/1)
As sellers go, there are some talented horses in this line-up. Merlier would win this on a purely ratings basis, but his sole run on turf so far has been disappointing. Instead, the NIck Bradley-owned duo of Saucy Jane and Artista hold sway, in that order. Although the latter beat the former by just shy of four lengths at Bath last month, there is a 6lb swing at the weights here, Both have won at Beverley prior, but the selection did so more impressively. She won by nearly five lengths over track and trip this time last year. She failed to kick on since, though was fourth in a York Listed race, while some handicap efforts on the all-weather were promising to start 2026. She was less good at Bath last time out, but will be more at home here. This race’s conditions are in her favour to go close.
4.35 Beverley – Tees George (1pt win – 9/2)
Though it was at a lower level, Tees George won well over course and distance last month. He has excellent form at Beverley, with figures reading 21021, the “0” coming in a run where he was completely out of sorts to begin 2025. He gradually rebuilt his form though, starting with a second here in August, Further placed efforts followed, twice at Newcastle, and once in a 22-runner handicap at Doncaster. That fourth-placed finish set him up to go three better at this venue last time out. Jack Nicholls continues to claim 5lb and he may progress from this mark of 63.
Lingfield Racing Tips (Tuesday 12 May)
Lingfield race into the evening on Tuesday. We have two tips for their seven-race card.
7.20 Lingfield – Frostmagic (1pt win – 13/2)
Bar a blip at Kempton in November, Frostmagic’s form was trending in the right direction on the all-weather. Ismail Mohammed’s team have started this year well. Seven of their 26 starters have won, including two of their four so far in May. Just a week prior to that, Frostmagic was a close third at Beverley back on turf on a career high mark of 78. That suggests he is still improving after his win at Southwell in January. He has run well on the Polytrack at Kempton too and Mason Paetel is value for his 5lb claim. He should continue to be very competitive here.
7.50 Lingfield – Inside Story (1pt win – 10/1)
On her seasonal reappearance, Inside Story ran a race full of promise, suggesting she can progress at three. James Tate’s filly needed her run on debut last season before improving to finish second and first on her next two starts. An ambitious tilt at Listed level saw her finish a respectable seventh of 19 to conclude her juvenile season at Newmarket. She finished close up behind some Group level fillies that day. Her return saw her start at 25/1 at Kempton. However, she stayed on having been outpaced over 6f to only miss out on a place by a length. Stepping up to 7f is the right move and a 1lb drop by the handicapper is welcome too. She can prove up to winning races off this mark of 82 at some point.
