Beverley Racing Tips (Sunday 30 August 2026)
Andrew has two tips against the field in the feature Beverley Bullet sprint, the second race at the northern track.
2.15 Beverley – Argentine Tango (1pt win – 9/1 general) & Elegant Erin (0.5pt e/w – 20/1 Sky Bet, four places, 22-1 Paddy Power, BetVictor, three places)
The ground is officially heavy at Beverley, and the Bullet Sprint Stakes looks ripe for an upset. Argentine Tango ran poorly at Goodwood last time but that was when 100-1 in Group 2 company and she didn’t enjoy the very fast going. Tim Easterby’s three-year-old won on soft ground at today’s Listed level (albeit against fillies) at Ayr on her penultimate start and hasn’t had many opportunities over 5f on slow turf. May’s 50-1 sixth of 12 from a poor draw behind Night Raider in the Group 2 Temple Stakes at Haydock (good to soft) suggests that she’s not out of place against the boys and her prominent running style is usually an asset in this race.
Elegant Erin was advised in this column at 25-1 and bigger when she won over course and distance on soft ground in Class 2 conditions company last September, going off at just 9-2 after a sustained gamble. Paul Midgley’s veteran mare has form figures at this venue of 1166126113 (5-10) for a profit of £27.75 to a £1 level stake at SP and while only sixth in this race last year she started at 100-1 and fared second best of the closers. Her running style isn’t ideal, but she could still get into the places.
Yarmouth Racing Tips (Sunday 30 August 2026)
Six races take place at Yarmouth on Sunday, including one on ITV. Andrew’s tip waits until later in the card though, his selection coming in race five.
4.35 Yarmouth – Campani (1pt win – 5/2 general)
With the wind forecast to be in their faces at Yarmouth this afternoon and two front-runners in opposition in the 14-runner 7f handicap – Rokuni and Oh So Perfect – hold-up horse Campani should be in his element. David Simcock’s four-year-old has form figures since gelded of 221771313 (3-9) yet can still ply his trade at today’s Class 6 level. He drops down a notch in class after his third of six over course and distance last time when failing to settle and will be much happier in this big field.
