14:20 – Weatherbys Flat Horses To Follow Handicap

Race Details: 5f | Class 5 | Going: 6.5) (watering) (Good to firm, good in places (goingstick) | | flat

This looks a sharp little 3yo sprint rather than a deep one, and with only six runners there should be no hiding place. Argy Bhaji brings the most persuasive recent profile after back-to-back second places and looks the one arriving with a bit of momentum, while Grey Horizon has been knocking on the door in similar company and should give another honest account. Tenzi has already got her head in front this season and is not easily dismissed, whereas Nifty needs to leave a couple of flat efforts behind. Jane Of The Jungle is well drawn and weighted to be competitive if things fall right, but this feels most likely to be decided by which of the principals can travel best and handle Brighton’s unique 5f test at speed. Tricky enough tactically, but not impossible to solve.

Top Selections

1. Argy Bhaji – 7/4 with Bet365

Jockey: Daniel Muscutt | Trainer: James Fanshawe | Form: 33-22 | Rating: 75 | Topspeed: 70

Argy Bhaji is hard to oppose on what he has been doing lately. Those last two runner-up efforts suggest a 3yo who is edging towards a deserved success, and he doesn’t need to improve dramatically to take a race of this nature. Fanshawe’s runners tend to know their job once the penny drops, and Daniel Muscutt is a good booking for a race where timing matters. Off 75, with relatively solid recent form compared to several of these, he sets the standard on reliability as much as raw ability. At 7/4 he is no giveaway, but he still looks the likeliest winner if reproducing that recent level. Bet: WIN

Bet: WIN

2. Grey Horizon – 11/4 with Bet365

Jockey: Kieran O’Neill | Trainer: Scott Dixon | Form: 256943 | Rating: 77 | Topspeed: 64

Grey Horizon is the each-way alternative in a race where consistency counts for plenty. He has been busy, but that recent sequence says he is holding his form well enough, and his latest third was another indication that he remains competitive from a mark of 77. Scott Dixon also saddles Jane Of The Jungle, but this one looks the yard’s stronger chance on figures and overall profile. He may lack the obvious upside of Argy Bhaji, yet he has race fitness on his side and enough tactical pace to stay involved throughout. In a six-runner contest at 11/4, he makes more appeal as the one most likely to chase the favourite home than some of the less trustworthy alternatives. Bet: EACH-WAY

Bet: EACH-WAY

Betting Strategy

Argy Bhaji is the straight win play because he arrives with the strongest recent form and looks ready to collect. Grey Horizon is the saver for each-way players, especially given his consistency in this grade. Tenzi is the obvious danger after her recent win and fair fourth, while Jane Of The Jungle could outrun her price from the inside stall if the race falls apart late.

14:50 – Bet Now With fairplaybet.co.uk EBF Restricted Maiden (Bands B-D) (EBF Restricted Race Qual’) (GBB)

Race Details: 5f | Class 5 | Going: 6.5) (watering) (Good to firm, good in places (goingstick) | | flat

This looks a compact but quite informative little 2yo maiden rather than a deep one, and the market has understandably latched on to the pair with established form and the better yards introducing newcomers. Terry O brings the standout figures on paper after two solid efforts and sets the standard if reproducing that level around Brighton’s quirky 5f. High Calibre and Extended Order are the unknown quantities from powerful connections, so it would be no surprise if one of them proved above this level first time out. Still, in a six-runner race on a sharp track, experience can count for plenty. Sayidah Ardad may step forward from debut and looks the one at a bigger price if you want to play against the obvious pair. Tricky enough because of the debutants, but not impossible.

Top Selections

1. Terry O – 15/8 with Bet365

Jockey: Luke Morris | Trainer: Jim & Suzi Best | Form: 45 | Rating: 84 | Topspeed: 69

He has the most persuasive body of form in the field and, in a race where two of the main dangers are guessing games on debut, that matters. Terry O has already shown useful early speed in both starts, and the bare figures of 84 for rating and 69 for Topspeed give him a clear edge on what has actually been achieved. Luke Morris is the right man for a five-furlong scrap like this and Brighton tends to suit youngsters who can travel and hold a position. At around 15/8, he is hardly hidden from the market, but he is the one with the fewest questions to answer and looks hard to oppose. Bet type: WIN

Bet: WIN

2. Sayidah Ardad – 7/1 with Bet365

Jockey: Tyler Heard | Trainer: Richard Hughes | Form: 7 | Rating: 68 | Topspeed: 37

For the each-way angle, Sayidah Ardad makes more appeal than the exposed outsiders because there is at least some scope for a fair second-step forward. Richard Hughes knows what is required with sharp juveniles, and this filly is drawn on the inside, which can be no bad thing if she breaks a touch cleaner than she did on debut. Her opening run was not flashy, but it was the sort of effort that can set one up nicely for a restricted maiden of this nature. At 7/1 she looks the value play in a race where the market may be over-fixated on the debutantes behind the favourite. Bet type: EACH-WAY

Bet: EACH-WAY

Betting Strategy

Terry O is the straightforward win bet because he has already posted the strongest form and speed figures in the field. For a saver at a bigger price, Sayidah Ardad is the each-way punt in this six-runner contest, with two places on offer. High Calibre is the obvious danger if Richard Hannon has him ready first time, while Extended Order also commands respect on connections alone.

15:20 – Download The Fairplay App Now “Confined” Handicap (For Horses Which Have Not Won A Race In 2026)

Race Details: 1m 3f | Class 5 | Going: 6.5) (watering) (Good to firm, good in places (goingstick) | | flat

This is a slightly odd little confined handicap, with several arriving on the back of fair efforts rather than obvious winning form, and that makes it more of a puzzle than a quality contest. Kimeko Glory brings the highest mark and probably the classiest recent profile, but he does have to concede weight all round. Golden Circet has been knocking on the door without quite getting his head in front, while Gallant Lion is dangerously well treated if bouncing back from a poor reappearance. Abando is another with a low-weight angle and a bit of upside at this trip. Around Brighton, balance and tactical speed matter, and in a race lacking a standout, the one who gets into a rhythm earliest could easily decide it.

Top Selections

1. Kimeko Glory – 7/2 with Bet365

Jockey: David Egan | Trainer: Charles Hills | Form: 2-2854 | Rating: 90 | Topspeed: 66

He looks the percentage call. Charles Hills’ 4yo has been running well enough in stronger company than this without quite getting the job done, and a mark of 90 gives him obvious claims in a race where very few arrive with anything like his consistency. The recent form figures of 2-2854 are solid rather than flashy, but that is often what you want in this grade at Brighton. David Egan should be able to keep things simple from stall 7, and if Kimeko Glory handles the track, his class edge ought to come through. At 7/2, he is not a giveaway, but he is still hard to oppose.

Bet: WIN

2. Gallant Lion – 4/1 with Bet365

Jockey: Jason Watson | Trainer: Ian Williams | Form: 2598-0 | Rating: 87 | Topspeed: 75

He is the each-way play because the handicapper has started to loosen his grip and this is much more realistic than some of the races he has been contesting. The comeback run, beaten out of sight, was hardly inspiring, but Ian Williams’ runners can come on sharply for a start and this one is now down to 126lb, which makes him interesting in a race short on depth. His older form gives him a real shout, and a Topspeed of 75 says he retains enough ability to be competitive at this level. Around 4/1 in an eight-runner race, he is a perfectly fair each-way punt if building on that reappearance.

Bet: EACH-WAY

Betting Strategy

Kimeko Glory is the win bet on the basis of proven recent form and a clear class angle in a modest contest. For an each-way alternative, Gallant Lion makes appeal off a lighter weight and could easily step forward from his seasonal return. Golden Circet is the obvious danger after a string of respectable efforts, while Abando is not dismissed if the step and setup suit.

15:52 – Watch Live Racing On fairplaybet.co.uk Handicap

Race Details: 7f | Class 6 | Going: 6.5) (watering) (Good to firm, good in places (goingstick) | | flat

This is a pretty ordinary Brighton handicap on paper, but that usually means the race can be won by the one arriving in the best nick rather than the one with the flashiest back-form. Aim For The Bull makes obvious appeal after a productive spell and looks the solid one in a field where several have questions to answer. Havana Mojito is respected at the head of the market after a couple of fair efforts, while Joycean Way has the raw figures to feature if bouncing back from two underwhelming runs this term. Lady Of The Isles has gone a bit quiet, and the lower-weighted brigade such as Celtic John and Unknown Journey are not without place claims. It is competitive enough for the places, but the win angle looks a bit clearer than usual for this grade.

Top Selections

1. Aim For The Bull – 11/4 with Bet365

Jockey: Rob Hornby | Trainer: Mike Murphy | Form: 717144 | Rating: 67 | Topspeed:

He is the one arriving with the most convincing recent profile. Two wins in his last six starts tell the story, and even his defeats have been perfectly respectable, including a fourth last time when he was not beaten far. Off the same mark of 67, he looks nicely treated enough for another big run in a race that lacks depth. Rob Hornby is a positive booking round this sharp track and, at 11/4, he makes plenty of appeal given how consistently he has been holding his form. In a weak Class 6, that counts for plenty. Bet type: WIN.

Bet: WIN

2. Celtic John – 15/2 with Bet365

Jockey: Paddy Bradley | Trainer: Pat Phelan | Form: 2-1674 | Rating: 63 | Topspeed: 35

He is not bombproof, but he looks the sort to outrun his price in a race where plenty of these have patchy profiles. He got off the mark earlier in the year and has not been disgraced in defeat since, with his latest fourth suggesting he is still competitive from this sort of mark. Racing off 63 with just 129lb on his back, he is one of the more interesting each-way plays if things fall right. Paddy Bradley knows Brighton well, and 15/2 feels fair rather than cramped in a contest where the frame is very much within reach. Bet type: EACH-WAY.

Bet: EACH-WAY

Betting Strategy

Aim For The Bull is the straightforward win play because he is in form, well enough treated and looks the most reliable option in the line-up. For an each-way punt, Celtic John appeals as a solid enough place candidate at a workable price. Havana Mojito is the obvious danger, while Joycean Way is risky but would not be a surprise if reviving.

16:23 – Fairplay Daily Price Boosts Handicap

Race Details: 6f | Class 6 | Going: 6.5) (watering) (Good to firm, good in places (goingstick) | | flat

This is a tight little 6f handicap rather than a deep one, and the market has understandably latched on to the pair arriving in proper nick, My Boy Harry and Kondratiev Wave. The former comes here off a win and still looks fairly treated if that latest effort has lit the fuse, while the veteran Kondratiev Wave keeps knocking on the door and is the obvious solid yardstick. Dion Baker is interesting under a feather weight and has been running respectably without quite getting his head in front, while Valsharah has bits and pieces of form that give him a squeak. In truth, though, this looks likely to be decided by who gets the run of the race around Brighton’s idiosyncratic sprint track, and a clean break could be everything.

Top Selections

1. My Boy Harry – 15/8 with Bet365

Jockey: Luke Morris | Trainer: Jim & Suzi Best | Form: 560641 | Rating: 74 | Topspeed: 33

He is hardly bombproof, but that latest win puts him right at the head of the queue in a race where not many arrive with upward momentum. The mark of 74 demands a bit more now, yet this is still only Class 6 company and Luke Morris is the sort to make Brighton count if he gets him organised early. His profile suggests he may just be finding his level after a mixed spell, and with several of these exposed or frustrating, the favourite makes plenty of appeal. At 15/8 he is no giveaway, but he is still the one with the most obvious win credentials. Bet type tag: WIN

Bet: WIN

2. Dion Baker – 4/1 with Bet365

Jockey: Darragh Keenan | Trainer: Michael Wigham | Form: 6-5744 | Rating: 77 | Topspeed: 58

He is the each-way angle because he keeps shaping as though a race like this is within range, and the combination of a low racing weight and a handy draw makes him dangerous. Those recent fourths were not dramatic, but they were solid enough in the context of this grade, and he does not need to improve much to hit the frame again. Darragh Keenan should be able to hold a position from stall 4, which matters plenty here, and 4/1 is fair for a horse who looks more dependable than some. He may not be as well treated as one or two, but he looks the sensible each-way punt. Bet type tag: EACH-WAY

Bet: EACH-WAY

Betting Strategy

My Boy Harry is the straightforward win play after finally getting the job done last time and he looks the most likely to back that up. For an each-way alternative, Dion Baker makes more appeal than the obvious second favourite because he is consistent enough to give you a run for your money. Kondratiev Wave is the clear danger if reproducing his recent sequence of placed efforts.

16:58 – fairplaybet.co.uk Bet £20 Get £20 Free Bets Handicap (Brighton Summer Sprint Series Qualifier)

Race Details: 5f | Class 6 | Going: 6.5) (watering) (Good to firm, good in places (goingstick) | | flat

This looks the sort of Brighton sprint where track craft and a bit of luck matter as much as raw ability. Neptune Legend arrives off a win and is the obvious one to beat for Tony Carroll, but he is hardly thrown in and this stiff little five furlongs can punish short-priced favourites. Starsong has been knocking on the door and comes here with solid recent figures, while Top Biller and Bated Breeze are the pair at slightly bigger prices who make plenty of each-way appeal in a 13-runner handicap with four places on offer. Dark Sun and Lynwood Lad have bits of form that give them a squeak too, but overall this is a trappy Class 6 rather than a race packed with reliable types.

Top Selections

1. Starsong – 5/1 with Bet365

Jockey: Alistair Rawlinson | Trainer: Michael Appleby | Form: 9-2943 | Rating: 68 | Topspeed: 61

Starsong makes most appeal because he comes into this in better nick than plenty of these and his recent profile suggests another sprint handicap is there to be won. He has gone close more than once this season, his latest third was perfectly respectable, and that Topspeed figure of 61 is the best on offer in this field. Appleby’s veteran is not exactly progressive at seven, but he is running well enough to think this mark is workable and Brighton’s quirky test should suit a streetwise sprinter. At 5/1, he looks a fair win play in a race where the market leader is opposable at the price. Bet type tag: WIN

Bet: WIN

2. Top Biller – 8/1 with Bet365

Jockey: Daniel Muscutt | Trainer: Julia & Shelley Birkett | Form: 9-6602 | Rating: 69 | Topspeed: 59

Top Biller looks the value each-way angle after shaping much better when runner-up last time. That was a welcome return to form after a few quiet efforts, and if he can build on it he is weighted to get involved again from 69. The draw in 13 is not obviously ideal around here, but in these sharp Brighton dashes things can change quickly and Muscutt is the sort to keep him organised. He does not need to improve a great deal to hit the frame, and with four places available, 8/1 is a perfectly sensible each-way punt against a favourite who still has to back up his latest win. Bet type tag: EACH-WAY

Bet: EACH-WAY

Betting Strategy

Starsong is the win bet because he brings the strongest recent consistency and the best Topspeed figure into a race lacking solid options. Top Biller is the each-way alternative at a price, especially with four places on offer. Neptune Legend is the obvious danger after winning last time, while Bated Breeze is another to keep onside if attracting market support on his return.

17:30 – Streamline Taxis 202020 Dash From The Stalls Handicap

Race Details: 5f | Class 6 | Going: 6.5) (watering) (Good to firm, good in places (goingstick) | | flat

This closing 5f handicap doesn’t look a deep race, but it is the sort of low-grade sprint where Brighton’s quirks and early speed can make all the difference. Kento brings the most solid recent profile and is the obvious one to beat, while Coolagh Magic has the course style and enough old dash to make a serious nuisance of himself again. Barnsnape Boy is not without interest if bouncing back, and Dreambird Dolly could do better from stall 1 if getting the run of the race. With Wedgewood out, the pace map has shifted slightly and that may help those able to grab a handy position early. It’s not a race packed with unexposed talent, more a sharp little handicap where track craft should decide it.

Top Selections

1. Kento – 3/1 with Bet365

Jockey: David Egan | Trainer: Tony Carroll | Form: 213135 | Rating: 65 | Topspeed:

Kento is the one arriving here with the fewest questions to answer. His recent form is solid for this level, with that sequence of 213135 showing he keeps turning up and running his race, and a mark of 65 still looks workable in a Class 6. Tony Carroll’s sprinters are often kept busy and this one has the profile of a horse who can cope with the demands of a sharp, slightly idiosyncratic track like Brighton. The draw in 10 is not ideal, but if David Egan can get him across without wasting too much petrol, he holds strong claims. At 3/1 he is no giveaway, but he is the percentage call.

Bet: WIN

2. Hi Hoh Tonto – 15/2 with Bet365

Jockey: Rhys Clutterbuck | Trainer: Ross Burdon | Form: 80-605 | Rating: 64 | Topspeed: 44

Hi Hoh Tonto is not bombproof, but there was a bit more encouragement in that latest fifth and this does not take much winning. He’s slipped into a mark of 64 and, in a race full of exposed handicappers, that gives him a sporting each-way look if building on that last effort. Stall 5 is a perfectly workable berth for a horse who should be able to sit close enough without getting dragged into a burn-up, and Rhys Clutterbuck knows how to ride these Brighton sprints with a bit of patience. At 15/2 he makes more appeal as a place play than some of the shorter alternatives.

Bet: EACH-WAY

Betting Strategy

Kento is the win bet because he brings the strongest and most reliable recent form into an ordinary Class 6 sprint. For an each-way punt, Hi Hoh Tonto makes some sense at the prices in a race where plenty have patchy profiles. The main danger is Coolagh Magic, who is well enough treated on his better efforts and has the speed to make this uncomfortable for everyone else.
