Brighton Racing Tips (Monday 24 August 2026)
Six races take place on the south coast at Brighton on Monday. IN race four, Andrew has two selections against the field.
4.00 Brighton – Crimson Road (1pt win – 11/4 generally) & Bohemian Breeze (0.5pt win – 10/1 generally)
Crimson Road has improved steadily since joining John and Rhys Flint and he built on July’s 17-2 fourth of nine at Nottingham when scoring over 1m2f in Class 6 company at Chepstow later the same month. He doubled up in Class 5 company over the same course and distance, recording a fast time for the grade, and he’s back down to Class 6 level today.
Bohemain Breeze took his record at Brighton to 414114 (3-6) when beating only one home in a five-runner 1m4f handicap here on August 6th and he looks interesting now returned to his optimum 1m2f trip. Gary and Josh Moore’s six-year-old didn’t enjoy the slow pace when 10-1 for that Class 4 contest and he drops back down to Class 6 level today. His courser record over today’s distance stands at 111 (3-3) and while this hold-up performer could have done with a bigger field (eight are due to run), he should encounter a reasonable gallop courtesy of Bobacious and Bownder and is worth a saver (he’s 10-1 best at the time of writing but is 13-1 on the Betfair exchange and could drift with the firms).
Windsor Racing Tips (Monday 24 August 2026)
Windsor’s final summer evening card fo 2026 features six contests. Andrew gets things underway with a tip in the opening race.
5.13 Windsor – Cercis (1pt win – 17/2 Paddy Power, 8/1 BetVictor, Betfred)
Cercis, who changed hands for 11,000gns after her 16-1 fifth of six in a 5f fillies’ novice at Nottingham for Ed Walker last backend, ran a race full of promise on her debut for Ilka Gansera-Leveque at the same venue on her three-year-old bow on July 21st. The daughter of Kodiac, wearing a hood for the first time, missed the break in the 6f fillies’ maiden but kept on well to finish a best-of-the-closers 33-1 fourth of eight. She pulled too hard when upped to 7f at Doncaster next time but still ran a promising race, finishing second of the four runners behind 30-100 favourite Wuood. I’m disappointed that his connections haven’t have gone down the handicap route (she’s rated 58) but the return to 6f will suit in this fillies’ novice contest and she has the highest Proform speed figure of those with previous experience.
