Carlisle host an eight-race card on Monday, with Andrew’s best bet coming in the lucky last.
4.35 Carlisle – Keppel Queen (1pt win – 10/3 generally)
Keppel Queen tends to jump out to her right but hasn’t had many opportunities to race in this direction, with her half-length second in a handicap hurdle for Jonjo- O’Neill here in November 2024 being the only occasion. Olly Murphy’s seven-year-old jumped out to her right when making a winning stable debut at left-handed Warwick in October and did so again when third at Plumpton last time. The return to this venue is a massive plus and Sean Bowen takes the ride.
Wolverhampton Racing Tips (Monday 16 February 2026)
From the seven races at Wolverhampton on Monday, Andrew’s top tip runs in the second contest on the card.
5.30 Wolverhampton – Nammos (1pt win – 4/1 generally)
I made Bad Habits a bet last week when second over course and distance last week, but his price is covered in odds of 5-2 and his one from 21 strike-rate hardly suggests that we need to get involved at that sort of price. I’d rather take a chance on James Owen’s Nammos, despite the six-year-old beating only a couple home when 100-30 for a similar race on her stable debut at Southwell last week. Her new handler has a good record at the second time of asking with horses he takes over from other yards, scoring with 39 of the 180 qualifiers (21.7%) for a profit of £29.58 to a £1 level stake at SP and the addition of a first-time visor could help. Connections are quick to reach for the headgear and Owen has a 21 from 70 record (30%) when using a visor for the first time (+£18.39).
