Tuesday’s racing sees four meetings scheduled to take place, with two apiece over jumps and on the all-weather.

Catterick Racing Tips (Tuesday 24 February)
Catterick hosts a six-race card between 2pm-4.30pm on Tuesday. We have two best bets to follow at the northern track.
2.00 Catterick – Crack Ops (1pt win – 10/3)
His yard are not in great form, but Crack Ops has the likeliest profile of a winner in this maiden. Four-year-olds have won two of the last six runnings, so his age does not necessarily count against him. He was stepped up to Listed level latest given he was a bumper winner second time out. In that contest at Cheltenham, he was a thoroughly respectable sixth of 16 getting squeezed for room late on. That is a level of form none in this field can compete with even though he is a hurdling debutant. The selection should be strongly involved as his trainers’ form will not hinder him if he jumps well.
4.00 Catterick – Chasingouttheblues (1pt win – 3/1)
Having bumped into National Hunt Chase favourite Newton Tornado at Doncaster, Chasingouttheblues can gain compensation. Mark Walford’s charge has clearly learned with chasing experience. He built upon three uncompetitive runs at Hexford, Newcastle and Kelso with a win at Wetherby. That came in December after being badly hampered in running. He was made favourite at Doncaster last time out as a result and was a clear second, over nine lengths ahead of the third. With the winner clearly well-treated, it is unlikely he will bump into a similar rival here off the same mark.
Leicester Racing Tips (Tuesday 24 February)
Leicester hosts just six races on Tuesday. Across those, we have two best bets, including in the lucky last.
3.50 Leicester – Denemethy (1pt win – 6/4)
Denemethy should prosper in this four-runner line-up even though he is under 12st 2lb, . The eight-year-old has not won since Boxing Day 2024, though nor has he finished outside of the first four in that time. He was second at Exeter to start 2026, then had a thankless task against Jax Junior at Sandown. Despite the odds, he was fourth behind that subsequent Grade 2 winner last time out and is back down 1lb. This race is much easier, especially accounting for the small field. Fergal O’Brien should be very hopeful that his losing run will end against out-of-form rivals here.
4.50 Leicester – Pyleigh Court (1pt win – 15/8)
Jet Plane’s form is of a different quality to these, but after a fall, and on ground softer than ideal, he is opposed with Pyleigh Court. The selection has only raced as a point-to-pointer and hunter chaser. He has raced five times in the latter category, duly winning two of his last three. Both of those have come on heavy ground too, including one at this track. He was only third in this a year ago, but that was after 650 days without a race. Now, having a win and a run under his belt, against the formerly useful Thunder Rock, he can upset another horse with rules experience.
