Catterick Racing Tips (Monday 17 August 2026)
It’s a 2.15pm start at Catterick for their six-race card. Andrew’s best bet of the day at the Yorkshire track runs in the 4.15pm event.
4.15 Catterick – Staniel Cay (1pt win – 6/1 William Hill, 11/2 generally)
Beaumadier has been nibbled at in the overnight betting for his 5f Class 5 handicap, but three of his four wins have come on the all-weather and his sole, turf success (from 21 starts) came when bagging the favoufred rail in a small field at Musselburgh and making all. I prefer the claims of Staniel Cay, who has the best of the draw in stall 1 of 11. The three-year-old son of Starman has been gelded ahead of his debut for Grant Tuer and, since the beginning of 2021, his trainer is seven from 28 with his newly-gelded runners for a profit of £57.50 to a £1 level stake at SP. He should be up with the pace from the outset.
Windsor Racing Tips (Monday 17 August 2026)
There are another six races at Windsor on Monday evening, with it all getting under way at 5.20pm. You have to wait until the 6.55pm for Andrew’s eye-catching each-way pick.
6.55 Windsor – Lequinto (0.5pt e/w – 11/1 generally)
Lequinto has a good record after a very recent outing (ten days or sooner), winning five of his 13 such starts for a profit of £5.92 at SP. On turf only his form figures under these conditions are1113313 (4-7) for a profit of £6.92. All three wins came at Windsor, and he looks set to go well ten days after his 14-1 Brighton fifth when second best of those to come from off the pace.
