Chepstow Racing Tips (Sunday 4 January 2026)
A seven-race card kicks off at Chepstow at 1.15pm and goes right through until 3.55pm. We pick out our best Chepstow tips here.
1.15 Chepstow – Roe And Co (1pt win – )
Jamie Snowden’s Roe And Co has been in tremendous form in recent months racking up three wins on the bounce, and the flourishing seven-year-old can make it four victories in a row when taking the win in the 1.15pm at Sandown. He only won by a head last time out at Leicester, so he will need to improve on that effort off a 4lbs higher mark, but he was a seven-length winner on his last visit to Chepstow, so a return to the Welsh track should see him score once again.
2.45 Chepstow – Dunstall Rambler (1pt win – )
A mightily-impressive 18-length winner at Worcester back in October, Dunstall Rambler has failed to kick on from that victory having been well beaten at Aintree and then he was a faller last time out at Southwell. He was still travelling well within himself that day when coming down, so he has to be respected off the same mark of 111 if he can deliver a similar display to his rampant Worcester win a few months ago. He’s 11lbs higher than that Worcester win, so will need a career best, but Tom George’s charge is still worth taking a chance on in this event at 2.45pm.
3.20 Chepstow – Le Soleil Reve (1pt win – )
Le Soleil Reve will have the burden of top weight in the 3.20pm at Chepstow, but the Jane Williams-trained raider has been a real model of consistency through the early stages of his career and he can taste a second success in the penultimate race. Narrowly edged out by Tashan at Exeter in November, he’s only been given a 1lb rise by the handicapper, and he looks as though he could be better than his current mark of 109. Plenty line up here with possible improvement, but Le Soleil Reve has certainly shown plenty on the track and can claim the win.
Plumpton Racing Tips (Sunday 4 January 2026)
It’s Sussex National day at Plumpton on Sunday, and it’s the big race that we focus on with our sole bet coming in the 3m 4f 104y feature at 2.35pm.
2.35 Plumpton – Unanswered Prayers (1pt win – )
Chris Gordon’s Unanswered Prayers failed to get past the first fence in last season’s Sussex National, which was won by another of Sunday’s rivals Invincible Nao, but the Gordon charge can reverse the form at 2.35pm and claim victory. He’s 5lbs lower in the handicap this time around, and whilst he’s not been battling it out for victory in recent times he has slowing been dropping to a workable mark, and with stamina assured he can claim his first win since winning the Southern National at Fontwell back in November 2024
