Chester Racing Tips (Friday 11 September 2026)
Seven races make up Chester’s card, with Andrew having some eye-catching picks across the action at on the Roodee.
2.47 Chester – Zambezi Magic (0.5pt e/w – 10/1 Sky Bet four places, otherwise 12-1 Paddy Power, first three)
Zambezi Magic runs best in the July to September period, winning eight of his 24 starts for a profit of £32.23 to a £1 level stake at SP (+£41.25 at Betfair SP after 2% commission, expected wins = 3.92, A/E = 2.04). In other months he’s failed to register a win from 37 attempts (expected wins = 2.32). Six of his eight wins have come at Ffos Las (the others at Haydock and Chester) but he’s run well here before and should encounter the strong pace that suits.
3.17 Chester – Manila Scouse (1pt win – 12/1 bet365, 9/1 general)
Tim Easterby’s usual 6% strike-rate is running at 16% in the past fortnight, and his Manila Scouse can keep the ball rolling. The seven-year-old, who looks nicely drawn in stall 4 of 10, seems happiest in fields of 11 or fewer runners after a very recent outing (within 14 days), recording form figures under such conditions of 131144617214 (5-12) for a profit of £21.98 to a £1 level stake at SP, with the latest defeat excusable on account of a poor high draw at Leicester when all the action was far side. This race looks easier than some of his recent assignments.
Doncaster Racing Tips (Friday 11 September 2026)
Doncaster’s St Leger meeting hits day two, with Andrew having a sole 2pt win selection in the 4.45pm.
4.45 Doncaster – Pride Of Toledo (2pts win, 5/1 Hills. 9/2 general)
The form of the Harry’s Half Million – run at York’s Ebor meeting last month – received a couple of boosts today when third-placed Speed Of Sound bolted up in the opening 6.5f nursery off a mark of 81 and fifth-placed Satellite Of Love finished a close-up 11-1 second to odds-on favourite Night Of Vegas in the £300,000 sales race. Today’s it’s the turn of Satellite Of Love’s stablemate, Pride Of Toledo, fourth of 20 from a tricky high draw in that York contest. Sent off at 28-1 that day, he fared second best of those to come from off the pace and a mark of 85 looks generous.
