5.00 Wolverhampton – Young Fire (1pt win – 5/1 Bet265, 4/1 Will Hill, 5/2 Paddy Power/Betfair)
YOUNG FIRE is not one for maximum faith, given his 2-24 record on the AW but with the visor switched back on in replacement of the cheek-pieces last time, he gave the impression he may be about to capitalize on his falling handicap rating. This is just his third effort in a Class 4 event, but the further furlong in distance, particularly at this track, could make a significant difference to his finishing position. He lacks the real pace to get involved around Wolverhampton, but they are unlikely to go hard here, and he won’t have too much ground to make up, which is sometimes the case. He looks worth taking a small flyer on under a good apprentice handicap rider taking a further three pounds off.
