HELLO ARTHUR caught the eye on his debut at Kempton over 7f after being slowly away and held up off a slow pace and then took a step forward over a trip too short for him next time at the same venue finishing strongly. He is progressive, and the move up to 1m will surely see him in a better light. Cieren Fallon is a very interesting booking for this yard, and he looks worth chancing at a very fair price. Dutch Kingdom is feared as he takes a while to warm up but will be suited by the move up in distance along with Puntarelle, but the selection has almost identical form in terms of numbers.
4.00 Lingfield – LIHOU (1pt win – 5/1 BetVictor + Unibet, 9/2 generally)
This market looks wrong to me, and LIHOU should be the favourite after a comfortable success at Southwell 12 days ago over Pop Dancer and Mick’s Spirit. The latter likes it here at Lingfield but has never won outside of Class 5 company, and today’s favourite Vespain is not sure to benefit from this drop back to five furlongs. The selection looks back in the groove and is handicapped to have a good say here after a four pounds rise and although beaten on his last run here in class 3 company, he also boasts some excellent narrow second-placed finishes, and all of his victories have come in class 3 company.
