This track is hard to come from off the pace, but CHICHESTER left clear signs that he was ready to strike when a fast finishing second at Southwell in a race that did not play to the strengths of those held up. He has been knocking on the door recently but is far better on the AW despite the 1-8 record. His latest outing was the first time he has been on the AW this season, and his previous effort at Kempton back in March has worked out excellently well (Listed race). He is well-treated, and the step back up in trip is a big positive. He will need every yard of this long home straight, but he finds himself in a race where few are in form or well-treated. This is a good opportunity for him to score, and the market has underestimated his latest performance.
