Doncaster Racing Tips (Friday 23 January 2026)
Getting under way at 12.45pm, Doncaster’s seven-race card looks to provide some thrilling races and we pick out two selections that should run well on Town Moor.
2.15 Doncaster – Glynn Brae (1pt win – 3/1)
With five wins from nine career starts, Glynn Brae has an excellent strike rate and he can enhance that further on Friday and claim victory in the 2.15pm at Doncaster. A winner two outings ago at Sandown, he failed to follow up at the same venue on his last start, but it could’ve been the drop back to two miles that had a notable effect and a step back to two-and-a-half miles should see him bounce back. He’s been dropped 1lb by the handicapper and a mark of 132 looks more than fair for the consistent Nigel & Willy Twiston-Davies-trained contender.
4.00 Doncaster – Mask Of Zorro (1pt win – 4/1)
Joe Tizzard’s Mask Of Zorro has revelled in handicaps of late racking up three wins on the spin, and the flourishing six-year-old can make it four wins on the bounce in the final race of the day at Doncaster at 4.00pm. He’s been raised another 6lbs for a short-head victory at Taunton last time out, so he will need a career best, but the pair had pulled seven lengths clear of the rest of the field that day, so there could be more to come from the Tizzard charge and he can land the finale.
Warwick Racing Tips (Friday 23 January 2026)
Seven races make up Warwick’s National Hunt card on Friday and there’s some competitive races throughout the afternoon, so check out our two top tips.
2.05 Warwick – Excelero (1pt win – 11/4)
Wins at Bangor and Chepstow has seen Jour D’Evasion impress in recent times and Henry Daly’s charge will look to bag the hat-trick in the 2.05pm at Warwick, but Excelero could well halt that winning streak on a return to the track. The Jane Williams-trained six-year-old romped to an emphatic nine-length win on his last visit, and whilst he failed to figure at Ascot on his last start this looks an easier task on paper. Dominating from the front that day at Warwick, if he can get out on the lead once again here then he could prove hard to catch.
2.37 Warwick – Hostile Hotelier (1pt win – 8/1)
Three seconds and a win has seen Hostile Hotelier put together a string of good results and Jennie Candlish’s charge can continue blossoming on Friday and land victory in the 2.37pm at Warwick. He’s been given another 2lbs rise for a second placed finish at Newcastle last time out, but a mark of 117 still looks workable for this hugely consistently performer, who can get the better of the likes of Libre De Choeur and Gweenie May Star.
