Exeter Racing Tips (Sunday 22 March 2026)
It’s a 2.32pm start at Exeter on Sunday, as they host a six-race National Hunt card. Andrew’s best bet of the day at the West Country venue runs in the 3.02pm race.
3.02 Exeter – Rivers Corner (1pt win – 9/2 William Hill)
Those at the head of the market look worth opposing in this 3m6f handicap chase. Livin On Luco was beaten by 51 lengths in the Eider last time and pulled up on his sole previous Exeter outing. Egbert scored at Haydock last time on his debut for Christian Williams but seems best on flat tracks and was beaten by 38 lengths on his sole try here. Sporting Ace is a mudlark who has won just once from 15 starts on genuinely good to soft or faster going. Iron Bridge has jumped out to his left the last twice and could struggle on this right-handed track. Youth has dominated in this race in recent years and eight-year-old Rivers Corner, whose staying-on Sandown third to O’Connell over 3m4f in December suggests today’s conditions won’t be an issue, looks the best alternative.
Carlisle Racing Tips (Sunday 22 March 2026)
It’s a really competitive jumps card at Carlisle today and Andrew heads to the One Man Series Final at 3.17pm for his best bet at the northern track.
3.17 Carlisle – Dance Thief (0.5pt e/w – 12/1 bet365)
Dance Thief returned to form in a 2m handicap chase at Ayr earlier this month, winning well backed and clocking some good sectionals in the process. Mike Smith’s eight-year-old tends to come good in the second half of the jumps season and now has form figures in handicap company from February to May of 031321233P1 (3-11) for a profit of £9.25 to a £1 level stake at SP. He rarely runs at tracks away from Ayr, but his sole previous Carlisle run saw him finish a close second on handicap hurdle company at odds of 11-1 and he looks a value each-way play at the morning prices.
