Fakenham & Wolverhampton Racing Tips - Andrew Mount's Best Bets for Friday 13 February

Andrew Mount remains top of the racing naps table heading into the day’s racing on Friday 13 February. Our top tipster has a brace of selections for Friday’s racing that line up at Fakenham and Wolverhampton.

Check out Andrew Mount’s best horse racing tips for the day here, as he looks to build on a sensational treble across Thursday’s column.

Fakenham Racing Tips (Friday 13 February 2026)

Seven races take place during Fakenham’s National Hunt fixture, but it’s the 2.50pm race that Andrew’s focuses on. A well-fancied Tom Symonds-trained runner, Andrew fancies the market leader to strike.

2.50 Fakenham – Kalista Love (1pt win – 5/4 bet365, 6/5 generally)

Kalista Love, one of the hold-up horses in the 3m1.5f handicap chase won by House Of Habsburg (“led but pestered”) at pace-favouring Warwick last month, was possibly asked to make up her ground too quickly to get on the heels of the leaders and had nothing left at the business end, finishing nine and a half lengths back in third.

This was her first attempt beyond 2m5f, and she looked a non-stayer. Taking on male rivals didn’t aid her cause either. Since undergoing wind surgery, Tom Symonds’ six-year-old has form figures against her own sex of 1515 (2-4), improving to 11 (2-2) in single-digit line-ups with the wins at 7-1 and 9-2. |She faces her ideal conditions in this 2m5f four-runner mares’ handicap chase.

Wolverhampton Racing Tips (Friday 13 February 2026)

It’s a 5.15pm start at Wolverhampton for their seven-race card, and you have to wait for the penultimate race of the day for Andrew’s nap on the card.

7.45 Wolverhampton – Sam’s Xpress (1pt win – 3/1 generally)

Speedy front-runner Sam’s Xpress didn’t enjoy being taken on for the lead by Mick’s Spirit at Lingfield where he did well to finish a very close third (beaten by a head and a nose) behind runners described as “dwelt start, towards rear” and “towards rear”. That took his record on the all-weather for the in-form Julia and Shelley Birkett yard to 1125113 (4-7), with two of the four wins coming over tonight’s course and distance.

His two main market rivals – El Bufalo and Alondra – are usually ridden patiently and he could be hard to pass. I intend to save on Gustav Graves, whose record at Wolverhampton when returned to the track 13 days or sooner since his latest outing stands at eight wins from 22 starts for a profit of £10.75 to a £1 level stake at SP. In the winter period (November to February) that becomes seven from 13 for a profit of £17.00.
