Ffos Las & Dundalk Racing Tips - Andrew Mount's Best Bets for Friday 30 January

Andrew Mount attempts to head into a busy weekend of National Hunt racing on a positive note and he has two tips for the horse racing on Friday 30 January.

Our top tipster, who sits pretty at the top of the racing naps table heads to Ffos Las for his first bet of the day, whilst he has a second selection at Dundalk.

Ffos Las Racing Tips (Friday 30 January 2026)

Seven races take place during the jumping action at Ffos Las with the racing kicking off at 1.20pm and going through until 4.35pm. Check out Andrew’s best bet of the day at 2.20pm at the Welsh venue.

2.20 Ffos Las – Dangerous Touch (1pt win – 11/4 generally)

With the Venetia Williams stable struggling (0-34 in the past 30 days, beating only 31% of their rivals) it could pay to oppose Girls Bets Friend in this 3m novices’ handicap chase. The seven-year-old was beaten at odds of 4-7 at Market Rasen last month and is trying a new trip today. Take her on with the Olly Murphy-trained Dangerous Touch who returns to Ffos Las for the first time since his 2m4f soft-ground handicap hurdle success last January. The gelding took a step forward when third of 14 in the mud at Ayr last time and gets cheekpieces for the first time today. His trainer is six from 20 with handicap chasers in this headgear who finished second, third or fourth on their latest start (+£9.08 to a £1 level stake at SP). The presence of Sean Bowen is a bonus, as his record when riding over fences here stands at 49 winners from 170 runners (28.8%) for a profit of £84.49 to a £1 level stake at SP (+£137.04 at Betfair SP after 2% commission). The expected number of winners judged by their odds was 31.26, giving an actual over expected (A/E) figure of 1.57.

Dundalk Racing Tips (Friday 30 January 2026)

It’s a late afternoon start at Dundalk with the first race off at 3.43pm, but you have to wait for the 5.45pm contest for Andrew Mount’s best bet on the card.

5.45 Dundalk – Moyassr (1pt win – 9/2 generally)

Moyassr failed to see out the extended 1m2f trip here on his penultimate start though still finished a creditable three-length third of 14 behind Fixation and he bounced back to score over tonight’s 1m trip on January 13th. Paul Flynn’s five-year-old is a ten-race maiden on turf but his record on Dundalk’s Polytrack now reads 7211231 (3-7), improving to 21121 (3-5) when wearing headgear over 1m or shorter. The first defeat came by half a length over an inadequate 7f trip and the other by just a short head. He should be prominent in a race lacking out-and-out pacesetters and has Seamie Heffernan up for the first time.
