It’s a seven race card at Ffos Las on Thursday, with the action getting underway at 12.40pm and going right through until 3.40pm. Andrew’s best bet is an each-way selection in the 3.10pm contest.
3.10 Ffos Las – Welcheston Warrier (1pt e/w, 4/1 generally, Sky Bet paying four places)
Welcheston Warrier is a seven-race maiden, but he caught the eye when a 10-1 third at Leicester on his penultimate start, doing well to finish within five lengths of the winner after racing on the slower ground on the inside rail. Clive Boultbee-Brooks’ six-year-old built on that with a runner-up effort at Market Rasen next time, becoming outpaced before staying on well to finish just over six lengths behind the all-the-way winner, and today’s step up in trip to 2m6f will help. The recent run (13 days ago) is another positive and it will be disappointing of he isn’t in the first three.
