2.40 Catterick – ALBEGONE (1pt win – 9/2 bet365)
With four wins at Catterick, Tim Easterby’s ALBEGONE has shown to be a real specialist at the Yorkshire track and he will bid for more success on Tuesday afternoon in the 2.40pm contest. A short-head winner over Keldeo, who won this corresponding race last years and lines up again, two starts ago at Catterick, Albegone was then last seen finishing third at Hamilton Park off a 3lbs higher mark. He remains on that same mark of 75 for this event, and while he will need to improve again, he’s shown that he can excel over the course and has to be the solid selection in a competitive race.
3.28 Newton Abbot – FADED FANTASY (1pt win – 9/4 bet365)
Both FADED FANTASY and Puddlesinthepark head into the 3.28pm at Newton Abbot in the form of their life with the former for Christian Williams chasing a third win on the spin, while the latter is bidding for a four-timer for Evan Williams. The pair could dominate proceedings here, but it’s Faded Fantasy that makes more appeal, as he lines up over the same trip he was victorious off last time. He’s been given a 10lbs rise for that facile seven length win, but he cruised to success that day and with Puddlesinthepark reverting back to hurdles from fences then it could leave the door open for the Williams charge to strike under Jack Tudor.
4.25 Leicester – TANJEN (1pt win – 4/1 bet365)
Two wins from her last four starts, TANJEN was last seen romping to a mightily-impressive three-length win at Southwell and Tim Easterby’s in-form raider will look to defy a penalty on Tuesday and claim back-to-back wins in the 4.25pm at Leicester. She will have the burden of a 6lbs penalty here, but Tom Marquand has been booked for the ride, which is a huge positive, and the flourishing three-year-old can duly get her head in front again. Those aforementioned two wins have come on the all-weather, so the switch to turf could put people off slightly, but she’s certainly going the right way and looks capable of landing a third career success in a winnable contest.
