Lingfield host England’s main jumps meeting on Tuesday, as GG tipster Joe Napier picks three selections from that track, as well as one from Newcastle’s all-weather meeting, for out Lucky 15 best bets on the day.

1.15 Lingfield – CINQUENTA (1pt win – 7/2 bet365)
Giantsgrave’s bumper form has not been as well advertised as it could have been, whereas CINQUENTA, who represents the sensationally in-form Jamie Snowden yard, bumped into a couple of very useful types in that sphere last season. The son of Cokoriko was third to recent hurdles scorers Sober Glory and No Drama This End, arguably the two most impressive British novice hurdlers so far this season, as well as to Sunday’s Cheltenham runner-up Gaelic Pride. With his trainer operating at a 43% strike rate, it would be no surprise if he were more prepared for this contest after a layoff, and wind surgery, than the Skeltons’ runner.
2.45 Lingfield – STAR OF DIAMONDS (1pt win – 11/2 bet365)
It took STAR OF DIAMONDS four goes to win a point-to-point, but when he did, he beat a horse who achieved a 134 rating over hurdles in Taponthego, who won his own chase debut at Gowran Park in October. As a result, Emma Lavelle’s charge could easily leave his hurdles form behind to land this first chase start, as he promises to stay 2m6f and be better suited over fences. There is a slight question mark about the ground for him, as he disappointed on his only start on ground quicker than soft, but he twice travelled well enough in maiden hurdles and a mark of 108 for a horse who has such strong form between the sticks, and based with a useful yard, should prove too lenient.
3.15 Lingfield – SCORPIO RISING (1pt win – 6/4 bet365)
The more experienced handicappers may have their say, but both Ski Lodge and SCORPIO RISING arrive in handicap hurdles boasting significant potential, with preference for the latter under this race’s conditions. Olly Murphy’s charge was third to a good bumper horse of Dan Skelton’s at Exeter in January before filling the same position on his hurdles bow at Ffos Las three months later, with the runner-up, who finished two lengths ahead of him, now rated 118. He put it all together to win at Perth at the end of October and gets to race off just 113 here, which could easily be made to look light over a trip he has already proven himself over, with it likely he will cope just fine with good-to-soft going.
5.15 Newcastle – UNASSUMING (1pt win – 9/4 generally)
On the flat at Newcastle, top-weight UNASSUMING can record back-to-back successes under Jack Callan for George Boughey. The five-year-old has all-weather form of 31152651, with her disappointments coming when going too quick at Wolverhampton last year, racing over an inadequately long 1m2f at Lingfield, and having too much to do under Cieren Fallon over 1m at this track in August. She made amends for the final of those three runs by winning cosily enough back at Wolves in October and a 5lb rise is not overly harsh, while the drop in trip to 7f should be fine given her turn-of-foot, with this likely to be a decent test at this distance on a straight track with 12 runners.
