There are intriguing meetings on the flat and over the jumps on Tuesday. GG tipster Joe Napier has picked out two selections apiece from Redcar and Warwick on the day for our Lucky 15 tips.

12.55 Redcar – ALEEN (1pt win – 9/4 bet365)
First-time cheekpieces and a return to turf can have the desired effect for ALEEN who represents connections who know her family very well. The daughter of Study Of Man had improved with every start in maiden and novice company, finishing third at Doncaster and second at Catterick in that time before finishing down the field in her only nursery start to date at Southwell. The all-weather, coupled with her hanging up the straight, are perfectly reasonable excuses though and she is down 2lb racing on grass again. The rain in the forecast is not seen as a concern either given she has already placed on soft.
1.32 Warwick – MOON OVER AMERICA (1pt win – 4/5 bet365)
The experience gained by Ice In The Veins over hurdles could prove very beneficial but he is likely to find the promise of MOON OVER AMERICA too much. The selection has not raced over obstacles under rules, but did win a point-to-point prior to an £80,000 sale at Cheltenham in May 2024. Moved to Nigel Twiston-Davies, he was second on his bumper debut in April behind a promising type for Olly Murphy and there is a decent depth to the form below, the third having finished fourth in arguably the strongest novice hurdle of the season so far at Cheltenham. As a result, if his jumping stands the test, he should prove good enough to quickly get off the mark.
1.55 Redcar – ALCARATH (1pt win – 9/4 bet365)
Having only made his debut in August of his three-year-old season this term, ALCARATH has been rapidly making up for lost time since. Fourth at Kempton, he was then second at Salisbury before bottling up by 8½ lengths at Epsom in September. He beat a 1/4 favourite of the Gosdens that day who is rated 89 and Alan King’s charge only has to race off 1lb higher here on a mark of 90. He gets a 3lb weight-for-age allowance and is the clear pick of the Classic generation in this race and few of his older rivals look to be convincingly handicapped either.
2.02 Warwick – JIPCOT (1pt win – 11/4 bet365)
Both Deep Purple and Silver Thorn should be shy of what is required if the protagonists here show up while Josh The Boss now has questions to answer after a disappointing reappearance in a race he won 12 months ago. Between Go West and JIPCOT, it is the latter who gets the verdict for the O’Neills. The six-year-old has won fresh and had an excuse for this first two starts of last season as he significantly improved following wind surgery after those efforts. That first run since his operation resulted in a dominant victory at Newbury on Challow Hurdle day and he nearly won at Windsor next time out when upped to 3m. His form faded thereafter, but he may not have been a genuine stayer of 3m, particularly with cut in the ground, so the drop back to 2m4f on a sounder surface can suit a horse who comfortably has the staying power. If jumping well on his chase debut, he is probably the most talented horse in the race.
