Day two of Glorious Goodwood takes place on Wednesday 30th July and there’s another monstrous pot of £50,000 available in the ITV7 that will be dominated by the action on the south coast. All you have to do is pick the seven winners from the seven selected races on Wednesday to be in with a chance of scooping the jackpot. Here at GG we look to try and point you in the right direction and pick out our selection for each race.

Race 1 – 1:20pm Goodwood – Coral Pipped At The Post Winners Handicap
Sing Us A Song is well fancied to win the opening race of the day at 1.20pm, but Ralph Beckett’s charge could be worth taking on with Joseph O’Brien’s top-weighted OMNI MAN, who finished in front of Sing Us A Song when the pair clashed at Royal Ascot. Having been stopped at a crucial part of the King George V Stakes last month, Omni Man did well to finish fifth, with Sing Us A Song back in ninth. The pair will do battle again here and it’s the Irish raider that can frank that form and with a bit of luck in running can land the prize.
Race 2 – 1.55pm Goodwood – HKJC World Pool Oak Tree Stakes
A winner of a Listed Musselburgh event two starts ago, JABAARA failed to produce the goods when tried on the all-weather at Chelmsford next time out. However, a return to the turf can see Roger Varian’s daughter of Exceed And Excel bounce back to form and she can land the Group 3 Oak Tree Stakes at 1.55pm. This is tougher than that Musselburgh event, with plenty fancying their chances here, but she looks open to improvement can bag the prize with aplomb.
Race 3 – 2.30pm Goodwood – HKJC World Pool Molecomb Stakes
Seven two-year-olds line up for the Group 2 Molecomb Stakes at 2.30pm and Lady Iman is the hot favourite, at the time of writing, and Ger Lyons’s Group 3 winner will be now looking to claim Group 2 glory here. However, she was beaten last time out at this level, so take her on with MILITARY CODE, who was just beaten in the Listed Dragon Stakes at Sandown last time. Down the field in the Coventry Stakes prior to that effort, he has already got two wins over five furlongs and is more than capable of playing a big starring role in this event.

Race 4 – 2.45pm Redcar – Start Your Racing TV Free Trial Fillies’ Novice Stakes
It’s over to Redcar for race 4 of the ITV7 on Wednesday and the standout selection appears to be Ralph Beckett’s CIRCIOS, who has racked up a brace of seconds on her two racecourse starts, but she can finally get her head in front in the novice stakes at 2.45pm. Second at Chester last time out, the daughter of Kingman was an expensive purchase and has shown enough to be the one to beat in this mediocre event.
Race 5 – 3.05pm Goodwood – Visit Qatar Sussex Stakes
Returning to Goodwood for race 5 and it’s the feature race of the day at Glorious Goodwood with the Group 1 Sussex Stakes and all eyes will be on FIELD OF GOLD, who is a red-hot favourite to land the 3.05pm race. Beaten in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket, John & Thady Gosden’s son of Kingman bounced back to form with a dominant win in the Irish 2000 Guineas, while he followed that up with a brilliant victory in the St James’s Palace Stakes. He can duly make it three Group 1 wins on the bounce and get the better of Rosallion and Henri Matisse, who look to be the main dangers.
Race 6 – 3.20pm Redcar – Free Racing TV At racingtv.com/freetrial Handicap
Charlie Johnston’s BAMBURGH remains a maiden after eight starts, but he’s been knocking on the door plenty of times during his career and he can finally get his head in front in the 3.20pm at Redcar. Fourth last time out at Ayr, he’s been given a 1lb drop by the handicapper and the last time he raced off a mark of 74 he finished second at Haydock. He will not need to improve too much to take a race of this nature and the consistent performer can make it ninth time lucky and grab the win.
Race 7 – 3.45pm Goodwood – British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies’ Handicap
Alan King’s WISPER was given a huge form boost on day one of Glorious Goodwood, as Westridge, who bolted up in the opening race on Tuesday, was previously second behind Wisper at Windsor, so that’s a huge positive. She struggled off a higher mark last time out at Southwell, but Wisper should relish a return to the turf on Wednesday and looks a decent value play in a competitive final race of the ITV7 on day two of the Glorious meeting.
