Leicester, Hexham & Hereford Racing Tips — GG Lucky 15 Tips for Wednesday 10 December 2025

Leicester, Hexham & Hereford Racing Tips — GG Lucky 15 Tips for Wednesday 10 December 2025

There are five meetings taking place in Britain and Ireland on Wednesday, with three jumps meetings from Hereford, Hexham & Leicester.

Below, Joe Napier selects four runners for today’s GG Lucky 15 based on form, ground and the strength of each race, with our best bets racing at Hereford, Hexham & Leicester on Wednsday.

Leicester Racing Tips (Wednesday 10 December)

Leicester hosts a seven-race card on Wednesday, with varying ground on the hurdle and chase courses, as it is heavy on the former and good on the latter.

1.15 Leicester – Catch On Me (1pt win – 28/1 bet365)

The likely soft ground at Leicester could be key to an improved performance from Catch On Me, who may prove a value option in this maiden hurdle for Venetia Williams. The French import had some useful form for Jean-Pierre Dubois in bumpers and four-year-old hurdles before joining Williams in February, after which he could finish only seventh on debut at Taunton. However, that came on good-to-soft ground, quicker than anything he had experienced on home turf. Slower conditions, coupled with a drop back to 2m, can prove much more suitable in a heat where none of his rivals convince entirely, with his yard likely to come good in December at some point.

2.45 Leicester – Jet Plane (1pt win – 5/2 bet365)

A drop in class can suit Dan Skelton’s Jet Plane, who can take advantage of a good opportunity in this six-runner handicap. The nine-year-old goes on most ground, winning a hunter chase at Wetherby on soft last season, but having also proved adept on faster going, as is the case on Leicester’s chase course. It was noteworthy how popular he was in the betting for the Grand Sefton at Aintree back in November, fading ultimately to seventh, but that suggests there is confidence he is well handicapped, perhaps even more so now that he has fallen 2lb in the handicap to a mark of 130. With just five opponents to beat this time, he can prove up to winning before his sights are raised once again.

Hexham Racing Tips (Wednesday 10 December)

There are six races taking place at Hexham on Wednesday, with heavy going likely to make conditions testing at the northern venue.

1.25 Hexham – Union Avenue (1pt win – 15/2 bet365)

The eye is drawn here to talented flat performer Tashkhan, placed in Group 1 company at his best for Brian Ellison, but his flat form this year has been of a horse in decline. Of those to have raced under National Hunt rules, the most interesting is Union Avenue, who returns after a significant layoff, but whose bumper form in the 2023/24 season is extremely notable. He claimed back-to-back bumpers at Kelso and Aintree before finishing fourth at Newbury to Royal Infantry at Listed level, though he was only narrowly behind that opponent in the Champion Bumper at the 2024 Cheltenham Festival when a highly creditable ninth. He was second home of the seven British runners that day, with plenty of those in behind having won over hurdles subsequently, so although he has missed 637 days since, he could well be one who makes up for lost time.

Hereford Racing Tips (Wednesday 10 December)

Hereford host seven races on Wednesday, with some intriguing runners in the opening maiden and novice hurdlers, though it is to one of the handicaps we go for our tip at the track.

2.05 Hereford – Rule Me In (1pt win – 13/2 bet365)

As is often the case with Christian Williams’ horses, it can be worth waiting for a step up to stamina-testing distances, which is the case here for Rule Me In at the foot of the handicap. The six-year-old belied that reputation to win a maiden hurdle at Southwell back in February, but that speaks to his likely quality as opposed to a preference for speedier tests. He was no match for Listed chase winner Wade Out next time out, and has found life tough to begin this season, but there has been promise in both chase runs, the first seeing him lose a chance at Bangor when hampered at the third last, the second seeing him jump slowly before running on. An improvement in the fencing department may be all it takes for him to challenge over this extended 3m1f trip, as those previous chase runs have come over 2m4f and he is down a further 3lb in the weights too.
