It’s a relatively quiet day’s racing on Wednesday with only three fixtures taking place in the UK. Hereford and Huntingdon provide the National Hunt action, whilst Kempton Park offers the all-weather evening alternative.

Hereford Racing Tips (Wednesday 18 March 2026)
It’s a 2.00pm start at Hereford with three chases and four hurdle races making up the seven-race card. Here’s our best bets on the card.
2.30 Hereford – Desperaux (1pt win – 7/4)
Placed at Huntingdon and Ludlow back in November, Desperaux finally got his head in front last time out when winning at Hereford in December. Returning to that track on Wednesday, he can well knock in another win. The Jane Williams-trained raider has been off since and will have a 6lbs rise to deal with, but looks more than capable of defying that here. That course-and-distance win certainly looks one of the strongest form lines on paper and after a decent break he can come back firing on all cylinders again.
4.30 Hereford – Castelfort (1pt win – 7/2)
It could prove to be a profitable afternoon for the partnership of Williams and Gethings. The pair team up again at 4.30pm with Castelfort, who can land victory. Dropping down the handicap in recent runs after a switch to chasing didn’t go well, the six-year-old shaped much better last time when third at Chepstow. Dropped 1lb, he’s now only 2lbs higher than his last winning mark. Having enjoyed the return to hurdles, he’s one that could continue find his best form and land this contest.
Huntingdon Racing Tips (Wednesday 18 March 2026)
Seven races kick off at Huntingdon at 2.15pm, with the action going right through until 5.15pm. Two selections catch the eye over fences.
2.45 Huntingdon – Dangerous Touch (1pt win – 15/8)
Ballynaheer goes in search of a hat-trick of wins, but the David Dennis-trained raider can fail in his bid for the three-timer in the 2.45pm at Huntingdon. Olly Murphy’s Dangerous Touch looks the one that can put a halt to that winning run. The seven-year-old was last seen finishing second at Huntingdon, where he was reeled in late on. Murphy has opted to put the blinkers on in Wednesday’s event, and that could well be the defining factor to get him to get his head in front.
4.45 Huntingdon – Livy’s Lad (1pt win – 6/4)
Flash In The Park and Livy’s Lad fought out the finish at Southwell back in December, with the former prevailing. However, Livy’s Lad suffered an awful error at the final fence that day which saw her chance disappear. Flash In The Park ran pretty moderately last time out, so it could be worth taking a chance on Livy’s Lad who has been given a break since. Nick Gifford’s charge had previously won at Southwell, so has shown he has the capabilities of getting his head in front. In what looks like a match on paper, it’s Livy’s Lad that makes most appeal.
