ONEHUNDREDPERCENT left the impression back in October that he is well worth keeping on side in around his handicap mark of 108, and given he bumped into a useful rival at Carlisle that’s now rated 16lbs higher, this mark of 110 shouldn’t be beyond him.
He is very lightly raced and returns to the track after wind surgery, which on the balance of his runs to date, will surely see him improve further. His all the way win at Sedgefield on hurdle debut has worked out well, and he has excuses for his Warwick run on handicap debut, so better is expected again today.

BROOMFIELD BURG – (1.15 Cheltenham, 1pt win – SP)
The suspicion is that BROOMFIELD BURG may be a little soft at the finish after flashing his tail when tapped with the stick when in a battle with Silent Revolution at Newbury last time, but this opening mark of 130 looks well within reach on handicap debut granted a stronger pace.
His time figure at Warwick was eight lengths quicker than stablemate Russian Ruler, who won the bumper and seven seconds faster than the mares hurdle on the card with the winner rated 118 and the selection did it in a canter. He was too free at Newbury and had to do a lot of running to get to the leader, but they still recorded the fastest time on the card over the corresponding distances – including the bumper.

SOLWARA ONE – (1.40 Doncaster, 2pts win – 5/2)
This has the make-up to be a good race and there looks to be stacks of pace on with Flic Ou Voyou, Emir Sacree and The Golden Rebel all likely to force the pace. That should play into the hands of the unexposed SOLWARA ONE, who shaped with plenty of promise on seasonal/chase debut when still yet to play his hand when coming down at Ffos Las behind the useful Pic D’Orhy.
The winner advertised what little form it was next time at Newbury, and the selections hurdle form entitles him to be bang there in this contest. He has the size and scope to do well in this sphere, and this softer surface will play to his strengths. He is unexposed, but he gave the impression there was a lot more to come over fences. The Brass Man is feared but returns from a long lay-off and remains one to be very positive about.

JACK SHARP – (2.50 Doncaster, 2pts each-way – 4/1) (NAP)
Voyburg finally delivered on his early promise at Exeter last time and is turned out quickly off the same handicap mark escaping a penalty. However, JACK SHARP looks to have been given a lenient opening handicap mark of his handicap debut, particularly on his debut run in a hot novice event here last December.
It was only a blunder on his second start again at this venue that cost him victory behind the 131 rated Lunar Sovereign with the 117 rated Grangeclare Glory in second, who won on handicap debut off an opening mark of 112. He then bumped into Topofthecotswolds (130) on his third outing here before scoring on seasonal return at Uttoxeter in good style.
The faller Feivel (well held in third) scored for us on Wednesday, beating horses rated 108 and 112. A strong handful of evidence suggests this opening mark of 115 is very workable, and he has run well on three occasions here at this venue. The ground looks in his favour, and he is entitled to improve for fitness for his return win at Uttoxeter. This is not a deep contest, and he must go well.
