SOME CHAOS (2.10 Kelso, 1pt win 9/2)
SOME CHAOS is well handicapped in this sphere and runs off a handicap mark 22lb lower than his chase mark and, although he hasn’t shown to be at that level over hurdles yet, he now returns to Kelso at which he has won on both of his visits (fences).
This is much easier than his latest assignment over hurdles in a Class 2 0-145 and the drop into a 0-120 race and the return to this venue could see him get his head in front.
A chance is taken with his latest run now under his belt after a short break and it would be very disappointing if he cannot prove competitive off this handicap mark of 120.

If Mr Whipped is ready to go after a 717-day break he will almost be a certainty in this contest but chances are he will need this badly so a chance is taken on COURT MASTER to get his head back in front after facing stiff tasks the last twice.
On his head second to Fidux at Market Rasen in October, he looks well treated off this mark of 126 and, despite being beaten the last twice, he has improved on the speed figures and has been underestimated by the market on today’s drop in grade.

JEAN GENIE (4.40 Kelso, 1pt win 4/1)
JEAN GENIE caught the eye finishing with a strong rattle in a stronger race than this one at Taunton last time out on his first start after a wind op and he is now entitled to improve on that effort with the new application of cheekpieces likely to help him mid-race. He is lightly raced and has some strong chase form to his name from Ffos Las and Stratford last term so should be competitive in this weaker contest.
