OPERATION OVERLORD is taken to go one better than his novice hurdle run at Carlisle last time. He was far too keen in the early stages, and was held up at the rear of the field in a very slowly run affair, so it’s credit to him that he managed to finish second.
That was also his first start after a wind operation on the back of an absence so there are good reasons to think he will take a big step forward today now running in handicaps against more exposed rivals. It’s hardly an original selection , but today’s racing is dire and he should get the job done.
