Connections have added the first time tongue-tie which will help him see out his races in a stronger fashion and this is easier than his latest assignment and one where he may get a soft lead on the front end so is worth chancing at the prices.

Handicap debutant GRANGECLARE GLORY bumped into a progressive horse at Doncaster last time and shaped as though a step up in trip would certainly suit so with the winner going on to run a respectable third in Saturday’s Grade 2 Dovecote, he gains the vote in an open contest. He wasn’t beaten far in a Point to Point by the useful Gallyhill over 3m so improvement can be expected over this trip and this opening handicap mark of 115 will surely be left behind sooner or later.

It would be highly surprising should this sharp track at Hereford suit Henry Gondoff but it will suit BOTHWELL BRIDGE and although put in his place last time out by Ballymore contender Bravemansgame, he should prove more than good enough to land a race of this nature. The step-up in trip, although an unknown, is likely to suit him and in receipt of 6lbs from Exploiteur, the excuses will be weak if he can’t overcome this challenge with his form working out well.
