HEAVEN HELP US – (1.10 Leopardstown, 1pt each-way – 33/1)
A wide-open heat but HEAVEN HELP US reverts back to hurdles takes a drop in trip and is back against her own sex on handicap debut and is effectively running off a handicap mark of 119. That looks extremely low given she finished an excellent seventh in the Supreme Novice Hurdle on her last start in this sphere and two starts prior chased home Abacadabras in the Grade 1 Paddy Power Future Novices Hurdle at this venue. She has other back form that suggests this mark is well within reach and fitted with the first time cheek-pieces she could bounce back to form and is a wild price given the circumstances.

MISS MILNER – (1:10pm Leopardstown, 1pt each-way – 8/1)
MISS MILNER’S excellent second to On The Blind Side at Cheltenham on her penultimate start is an excellent piece of form in this race and she wasn’t disgraced here at Xmas over 3m. The drop back in trip looks a good move and a repeat of her win at Galway over this trip when last tried would be enough to be seriously involved at the business end.

ON A PROMISE – (1.25 Musselburgh, 1pt win – 7/2)
ON A PROMISE returned with an excellent victory here after a 300-day break in December and the nine-year-old remains unexposed over fences after just two chase starts and was value for much more than the 5lb rise for that return victory. He travelled powerfully through that race and won going away at the finish and there looks to be no reason to abandon him now.

HA D’OR – (1.40 Leopardstown, 1pt win – 9/1)
I was seriously impressed with how HA D’OR closed on Zanahyir to the line in the Grade 2 Knight Frank here at Xmas despite it being his first run for the yard and his first for 178 days. He was very keen for much of the race at the rear of the field which was slowly run in the early stages and his jumping wasn’t as fluent as the winners but that performance screamed potential improver. He had to travel wide around the bend and was green when asked for an effort but despite giving the first run to the winner and runner-up who was well-positioned he kept on strongly. That went down as a top performance in my book and he can give the highly touted Quilixios a serious challenge today.

KOSHARI – (2.40 Leopardstown, 0.5pts each-way – 12/1)
KOSHARI looks a very smart type for Willie Mullins and given he is the choice of Paul Townend, that boosts confidence in the selection. He is very lightly raced for a nine-year-old but has the back form to suggest that this handicap mark of 144 is well within range and he shaped as though he was desperate for a step up in trip at Cork last time out. That run came off the back of an 875 day absence and he is entitled to improve significantly for that run which confirmed he retained plenty of ability so gets the vote to land back to back successes.

BAREBACK JACK – (3.25 Musselburgh, 1pt win – 9/2)
Third Time Lucki will be popular but he has been far from convincing in some of his races this season and this track may not suit so the offering is BAREBACK JACK who has clocked some excellent numbers in his two runs to date. He powered away at the finish at Catterick last time in the style of a potentially smart horse and although this is competitive he is well worth keeping on side at the prices.
