It was probably a step too far to ask LEGENDARY DAY to make his first start on the undulations of Newmarket a winning one into Class 3 company for the first time, but he ran with extreme credit. The fifth and eighth have come out and won next time, while the runner-up finished a close second on his next outing.
That was a good step forward from the selection given the circumstances, and back on a more conventional course will see him in a better light. This looks more his level for now, and off the same handicap mark, he must go close after just the four starts on turf.

OBEE JO – (17:05 Carlisle, 1pt win – 5/1)
OBEE JO holds a lot of these on recent form, and the return to a sounder surface will be beneficial after being slowly away at Pontefract and forced wide off a slow pace on soft ground last time.
That effort can be upgraded, and the return to Carlisle for which he scored in impressive style three starts ago off a 4lbs lower mark looks a good move by connections. This is also a drop back in grade from class 4 into class 5, and he is having a productive spell that it may pay to keep on the right side of.

HELLO ZABEEL – (18:25 Leicester, 1pt win – 9/4)
A good race this, but HELLO ZABEEL will be surely winning races before long after bumping into a useful and subsequent winner here last month. The race has worked out very well, with the runner-up scoring in style on his next start – as well as the fourth.
The fifth brought strong form into the race, having only been touched off by the improving Night Of Romance and Strike Red here at Leicester, and both of those are subsequent winners. That race posted a good time figure, and he rates the type to do better now entering handicaps off what looks a workable mark of 77.
