It pains me to say this horse may take me off the cliff edge but this again represents another good chance for PROUD ARCHI, and in the hope that the first time visor reserves some early energy, he should be able to reverse form with Ugo Gregory. He gave that rival the first run on his penultimate start here at Beverley, and this race looks easier than his Thirsk assignment last time.
The draw is a slight concern, but there is enough pace on in the race that this should fall into the lap of a closer.

She makes her handicap debut off a lowly mark of 60, and this is a poor race on paper. With the ground now soft she could prove a different proposition, so a chance is taken.

A quick turnaround for LOVE OF ZOFFANY after shaping as though he is about to run back into form last time at Hamilton could be a good move. He is worth siding with at the prices over the well-found market leader who, although has been impressive the last twice, has beaten very little and is drawn wide.
The selection has some strong pieces of form for this level, and he is weighted to go well. This looks like a good bit of placing by Mark Johnston.
