Horse Racing Tips - Daryl Carter Best Bets On Tuesday, May 25

Daryl Carter has been in flying form recently, and he bids to continue his excellent run with four selections for Tuesday’s racing. Check out his bets below

[OVERWRITE] (2.20 Musselburgh, 1pt win 6/1)

OVERWRITE has failed to be at his best the last twice, but those big galloping tracks don’t see him at his peak unless he can dictate fractions on the front end. His form at sharp tracks, similar to this one, when he can get on the front end and dictate, is very strong and today’s race represents a big drop in grade into Class 4 company for the first time in his career.

He has already proven that this handicap mark of 87 is within reach when scoring at Newmarket back in April. He is drawn well to attack, and there won’t be much competition for the lead. The market hasn’t missed Bringitonboris but he can be slowly away and that’s never a good thing here at Musselburgh.

[DARAMETHOS] (5.55 Newcastle, 2pt win 9/4)

A good race for the grade with many likely to rate higher in time, but how the handicapper has come up with such a low mark for DARAMETHOS is beyond me. He looked every inch a pattern performer in the making at Chelmsford on debut when scoring comfortably over two good horses from Godolphin.

The third Trawlerman is rated 93, and what’s more, he came from the rear of the field in a slowly run race and was forced wide around the bend. He didn’t handle the track at Newmarket next time behind Al Waqidi (95) and Scope (95) but was asked for zero effort and came home under hand and heels riding to be beaten four lengths. He is much better than this opening handicap mark, and this flat track with a long home straight will see him to best effect with the cheekpieces on to sharpen him up. Malhoob is a big danger.

[ALFAADHEL] (6.05 Lingfield, 2pt win 6/4)

ALFAADHEL looked the real deal when scoring at Chester from an unpromising position over a fellow progressive three-year-old.

That form looks the strongest on offer in this race especially given the collateral lines have worked out well. He was well on top at the line and needed every yard of the trip, so he should have too much in the locker for Sir Rumi and the returning Chai Yo Power.

[NAGANO] (6.55 Newcastle, 2pt win 2/1)

NAGANO didn’t do things the easiest way for us last time at Nottingham, but he looks just the type this yard does well with and remains one to follow for the season ahead.

Once fully wound up, he made considerable ground up on the runner-up, who in turn had the Derby favourite in behind on debut and has since run with credit in testing conditions at Haydock. The fourth has given the form a boost next time, so the line of form looks strong. This long 3 1/2f home straight will play to his strengths, and he should take some stopping here.
