A chance is taken on CRACK REGIMENT who returns from a break but ran well on the first start for this yard after a 102-day break last term when unfortunate not to get off the mark on British debut off of a 5lb lower rating at Kempton.
He was denied a clear run on that occasion and the form has worked out extremely well with multiple horses now rated 10lbs higher in the low to mid 90s. That was his sole run in Britain and he has been applying his trade in France but a return to these shores and an AW surface can aid his cause against some more exposed rivals.

[APOLLINAIRE] (2.30 Lingfield, 1.5pts win 5/2)
APPOLINAIRE is still lightly raced and on the pick of his form as a two-year-old, he should find this mark of 78 well within reach now dropped back to the 6f that has seen him at his best.
His form figures over this trip read 2221 and he was only beaten a short head on his last attempt at this distance by one that is now 10lb higher on a mark of 88 and that was when he was denied a clear passage.
He is effectively (inclusive of jockey claim) off a mark of 73 here and returns to his optimum trip for the first time since that race and on these terms would be in receipt of 15lb from the winner of whom he gave 3lb at the time of running.
This is not a strong race and it would be disappointing should he not be able to cope with the favourite especially given he is likely to have the run of the race with no other obvious pace angles.
