WIN O’CLOCK (2.15 Goodwood, 1pt each-way 11/2)
Most of these look handicapped to the hilt, so it’s worth siding with WIN O’CLOCK who surely has more to offer of this mark of 88 after his comfortable victory last time over Bronze River, who advertised the form well next time.
This bigger field and the return to 1m4f are both big positives for him after needing every yard of the 1m2f trip last time and with his talented rider’s 3lb claim, he gets in here off a feather weight. He is drawn well in stall 3 and should be able to gain a prominent position early on.

MOHAATHER (3.15 Goodwood, 1.5pt win 11/4)
MOHAATHER could be a superstar and, although the three-year-olds have a good record in this race, they haven’t set the world alight this season and the selection put up an outstanding performance at Ascot last time and there is surely more to come.
He is not short of speed so this easy 1m should be right up his street. Let’s not forget he did have dual 6f Group 1 winner Hello Youmzain in behind at Newbury and he could be the next star on the scene.

SAN DONATO (3.15 Goodwood, 0.5pts each-way 33/1)
No harm in backing two in the same race and SAN DONATO was excellent behind the former at Ascot on his return to action after more than 400 days off the track and should improve for that run.
Previous to that he found just 117 rated Persian King 1 ¼ lengths too good at Paris Longchamp in a Group 1 on heavy ground. He is unexposed on a quicker surface and over this 1m trip which certainly plays to his strengths and given the heights he has reached in just seven starts he is wildly overpriced.

ADMIRALITY (6.00 Thirsk, 2pts win 4/1)
ADMIRALITY has been knocking on the door of late and was only denied by the talented Documenting last time at York. He is well handicapped on the balance and is due a rise in the weights but gets to run in here off a mark of 86, 4lb lower than his course-and-distance victory last year.
Plenty of these are exposed or need other factors at play to bring out the best in them and this looks a much weaker contest on paper than any of the races he has contested this season and this trip looks to be his optimum.

CAMAHAWK (8.30 Thirsk, 1pt win 3/1)
CAMAHAWK is a horse we have been following and this step up in trip looks a very positive move. He has shown enough to think he can get off the mark in handicaps of this rating of 73 for Tim Easterby. Plenty of his form has worked out well and we haven’t seen the best of him yet and despite this being a competitive race he is worth siding with once more time on a quicker surface.
