GUNSIGHT RIDGE is a well-handicapped horse on the speed figures I have recorded including at this course and his form has taken multiple boosts notably his Doncaster Novice Hurdle win over, Away At Dawn. He chased home the useful and subsequent winner Gowel Road at Newbury in dire conditions before shaping very well in a truly run race up into Class 3 Company at Kempton behind the well-handicapped Hometown Boy. He is going the right way and this 2m4f trip at this course should suit him well as will the drying ground conditions and there are stamina questions over recent wind op runner Rosie And Mille and form questions over the remainder so he gets a strong vote of confidence.

There is plenty to like about Fawsley Spirit in this contest but FANTASTIKAS looks a horse firmly on the up as well and an opening handicap mark of 128 looks well within reach on the balance of his form. The drop back in trip last time at Fontwell should have inconvenienced him but he got the job done in fine style regardless so back up in trip in which he was a good second to Threeunderthrufive (139) on his penultimate start should see him in an even better light. That contest at Musselburgh was a truly run affair and he has the same time figure claims as the above mentioned but he has the scope for further improvement now tackling handicaps so gets the vote.
