There looks to be a good deal of pace on here and that will suit BHARANI STAR who returns to action after a 272 day break but doesn’t have that much to find with favourite Black Lotus on their meeting at York (1/2 length).
The selection was unfavourably placed that day in a race that was won by dictating fractions and she finished under a hand and heels ride and is open to more progression than her six-year-old rival. She faced stiff tasks after winning first time out last season in the Ribblesdale and then in the Epsom Oaks. This is much easier than both of those and she ran with extreme credit in the former. She is worth rolling the dice on in this contest.

PROPRIETY (3.20 Ayr, 0.5pt each-way 10/1)
I will advise a cover bet on PROPRIETY, who on the figures has plenty to find but her performance at York suggested she was well ahead of her mark, which in turn may mean she has less to find than the market suggests.
Connections are rolling the dice at some black type here instead of going down the handicap route which suggests she has come out of York well. She is very much on the up and another improved performance is not out of the question.

SYCAMORE (4.40 Yarmouth, 1pt each-way 14/1)
SYCAMORE has been frustrating granted, but he had no chance at Windsor on return from a wide draw in a messy race and then he lost many lengths at the start at Bath in first-time blinkers but ran very well in the circumstances.
This drop back in trip to 7f and the removal of the blinkers as well as the straight track will all play to his strengths and now may be the time to catch him. He has shown more than enough to think he is capable off of this mark and there should be no excuses today in what is a winnable race – last chance saloon!
